I bought one online about a week and a half ago,

2.3 Ghz,4GB, and 320GB HDD, with visa 64bit

it's currently in Memphis on it's way to Portland OR, and i am anticipating it sooo much.

I told a long time friend that i was getting one, and she said that she already had one and let me check it out. I was less impressed.
but i think that it might be a Tx1 please tell me how big these things are:

is the keyboard silver or black?
her screen looked really washed out, colors looked pretty gray, and it was hard to make out anything, and we were just indoors.

I have an old Dell 710m and i thought that my screen was reflective but her screen looked unuseable unless it was inside with the lights off, is that typical?? am i going to have to resort to my Dell if i want to use it in the classroom?

anyway i am still really exited and happy to join this community

so thanx

The silver keyboard sounds more like the TX2000 series. If I'm not mistaken, the TX2 has a dark gray/black keyboard.

There has been much debate about the screens. Some come with a somewhat matte screen and others come with a glossy screen. Each has their own redeeming qualities.

Theres also a lot of discussion going on rightn now about the lack of driver support for some pretty popular illustration/photo programs.

Some may disagree with me but I feel that it is an excellent tablet especially at the price it is at now compared to what else is out there. Its biggest asset - the multi touch screen - is also its biggest liability until HP and n-trig get their ducks in a row over the drivers.

For general tableting, movie viewing and schoolwork on popular office programs, it should serve you well.

Welcome aboard and browse the forums and see what others are saying.
