Did you recieve a glossy screen or Matte screen? This is the only thing stopping me from buying one right now! :(
I have heard that the matte screen looks horrible compared to the glossy version.
When do you buy this product and from where?
This computer is great! I read a lot about how the fan was too noisy and that you cant see the screen well.I haven't had any problems its an amazing machine and I am so glad that I got it.

I do have the Matte version, and i compared it with one of the older tx2000's earlier today (my friend has one)
my screen has a damp look to it, when i turned it on i looked for a cloth to dry the screen, but that is just the way that it is. i thought that it would bother me more than it does. I've only had it for a while but the colors are great, it gets brighter and clearer than my friends, and i have used it outside on a very sunny day.( wasn't the greatest but not any worse than my other laptops)

ps. I got mine directly from HP, I put in my order about 2 weeks ago, got it on Wednesday. I got it for a great price (as far as i know) for $699 including shipping, and a few upgrades.
I can tell you how I did if you are curious.

If you wouldn't mind. HP.com has it listed for $811 with APP (School discount) as the lowest. On Ebay, they are going for around $760 or so.

Thats good but a couple of thisngs to watch for with ebay. The first is shipping. While you might get a good price to begin with youhave to watch out if the seller adds in a high shipping cost or other things like handling charges. Second, you usually don't get any warranty with ebay purchases...if you get one at all.
I have bought and sold many tablets and laptops on ebay and my experience, for the most part, has been good. However, I caution anyone to check the sellers ratings and make sure you know exactly where the computer is coming from.
