I have a HP Pavilion tx2500 Tablet pc and would like to know if the software will run on my system? Can anyone comment on whether this will be an option or a no go?

1) First download this> http://www.mediafire.com/?nyzlcwmmzaw (thanks Dojomann)
Extract it, and install it
2) then, uninstall Quickplay

3) download and install the file here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&dlc=en&...

4) "the computer like never felt before".......but on our tablets :) !!!!

You realize, of course, that you're totally on your own with regards to any problems you might run into with the software running on a PC it wasn't designed for or tested with. Just checking.

My HP tx2032au Tablet PC also doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Wish you can help to make this work. Thanks.

All updates that HP publishes check that you have the HP TouchSmart hardware. That's one of the minimum requirements.

While it thrills me personally that you're after running the HP TouchSmart software on a tablet PC, it's just not something that's supported at the moment.

Well, First you have to extract the update, with Winrar or other Unzip, then you just run the setup.exe...have fun....

Any word on if the release of the TX2 will provide touchsmart software that will work on the tx2500?

Trust me, I work for the Government, ;P

hello Zealhybrid,

thnx for the links you posted, but the link to the hp download (2.) gives me nothing to download. could you upload the file to rapidshare or somewhere else. I really need it because i have a IQ810 and needed to upgrade to ultimate and cannot get the touchsmart software running. Even HP support is not able to give any hints.

I got my TX2z a few days ago. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but based on what I see the TX2z only has a "subset" of the TouchSmart suite... namely MediaSmart. The HP TouchSmart PC video demos that I've seen online appear to have more extensive touch interface than what I can see in the TX2z. Comments?

How i can transform my tx2650 in tx2z? software?

January 24, 2009 1:04 PM

Its possible replace the tx2650 screen for the new tx2z screen?

The Hp tx2500z,I mean any tx2000 family has a better touch screen than TX2z. Its because tx2000 has a digitalizer(WACOM), that means it has more precision in handwritting, and the screen is more resistant.
The tx2z has been designed for use with your hands, and has multitocuh(2 points) capability.

The HP touch smart sotfware will work on tx2000, but you need to download it from another site(dont from HP), if you know where, please tell me.
Windows media center of Windows 7 is a good choice, there is not big diference between media center and touch smart sotfare.
