When I go to the Remote  tab in System properties there is no "remote Desktop" section... there is Remote Access info on the top part of the box, , and then completely blank below... as if it never loaded the info...    anyone have any ideas?????

What version of Windows do you have? It isn't supported for all versions. From the Remote Desktop FAQ, the following editions don't support it for Vista:

You cannot use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to remote (host) computers running the following editions of Windows Vista:

Windows Vista Starter
Windows Vista Home Basic
Windows Vista Home Basic N
Windows Vista Home Premium

Also, you must be administrator to change options (if that wasn't your problem).

home premium. well thats poor... how do i get remote connections?

You could try another remote solution, such as VNC.
