I have the same problem on my IQ800T- not all the time, though. I cannot pin it down, but I do see the double notifications from time to time.
I'm currently seeing two of each of the notifications for CAPS, NUM, and SCROLL LOCK. Don't know why. My best guess is that is has something to do with the onscreen key board maybe??
Anyone else have this same problem. Computer is basically just out of the box.

Are you talking about the caps lock and num lock icons in the system tray?
If you hoover your mouse pointer over them, does one of them go away?
It happened to me a while back but not since then. You may want to check to see if you have the latest HP keyboard drivers. I think some new drivers were released in Feb this year.

It finally went away. Just randomly though. They didn't go away when you scrolled over them, but apparantly computers fix themselves now adays.
