I decided to go back to college two years ago to finish my BS degree. At 40 years of age and having been out of colllege for 20 years, I knew it was going to be a challence.  Especially since I was working full time and going to school full time. (In addition to my job in healthcare, I also run a computer repair business).

Well, after two years, I will be graduating this Saturday from East Tennessee State University with my BS in Cardiopulmonary Science!!!  Its been a long and difficult road and I've had to make many sacrifices...one of them was helping out on my favorite forums like Touchsmart Community.  But, now that I'm done, I'll have more time to spend here and help out...at least until I start Grad School.

So, y'all can look forward to more of my help in the future....

Congratulations David. Did the same thing at age 56 (10 years ago). Different field but was a great blast trying to get through it all!!
Good luck on your future endeavors.

And good luck with grad school!

Well, I did it! I proudly walked across the stage, shook hands and grabbed my diploma before they could change their minds. Overall this semester turned out a lot better than I thought. Made honors again.
The only thing that hurt was the "F"s I gor 25 years ago from when I dropped out of UT without withdrawing. They have haunted me all my life. My ETSU GPA was a 3.87 but my cumulative was a 3.0 or just short of being able to graduate with honors...bummer.
So, for you youngins that are in college now, do your very best becasue it can haunt you later if you don't.
I'm going to take it easy this summer. Only real thing to do is practice for and thate the GRE to get into grad school. I have to repeat a biochem class that I took a long time ago as almost all the PA schools want your core sciences to be recent.
Should be sending out the apps in the coming weeks so say your prayers for me and keep your fingers crossed.
I'm really hoping for UAB in Birmingham, AL or MUSC in Charleston, SC.
